The altar and the door

Nessa ultima sexta feira eu tive a oportunidade de ir ao concerto do Casting Crowns. Para quem nao conhece, eh uma banda de musica crista. Alem de terem um som muito bacana, as letras sao maravilhosas. Ja ate postei uma letra deles aqui no meu blog, no meu primeiro post.

A banda eh de Atlanta, Georgia. Iniciou-se em 2003 e teve o crescimento mais rapido da historia da muscia crista. Em 2005 eles ja estavam estourando nas radios americanas. Esse ano eles estao fazendo o tour do mais novo cd "The altar and the door" (O altar e a porta).

As musicas falam de situacoes que vivemos no dia a dia e como um relacionamento com Deus faz toda a diferenca no cotidiano. Isso faz com que as musicas nao sejam somente de adoracao, mas tambem de testemunho do que Deus faz nas nossas vidas na caminhada diaria. Na maioria delas, eh possivel sentir claramente a misericordia de Deus diante da nossa condicao de pecadores.

O tour que eles estao fazendo pelos EUA tem sido uma bencao. Alem de levarem as pessoas a louvarem a Deus, eles tem arrecadado fundos para a Visao Mundial, que apadrinha criancas necessitadas no mundo inteiro.
